　　commend 和 recommend 这两个词的含义非常相似，怎样才能区别它们?这两个词的确都有“推荐”的含义，它们中有一个是我们常用来表示“推荐”的意思，而另一个则很少在口语中出现。不仅如此，这两个词各自还有其它含义。

　　首先让我们来看一下 commend， 这是一个动词，正式用语表达中常用。它有两个含义，使用频率较高的意思是“公开地、正式地赞扬、表扬、表彰某人或某事物的某一方面的努力，成就或成果”。Commend 在书面语上出现的频率比较高。让我们来听几个例句。
