　　The words grisly and grizzly are often confused but are quite different in meaning.

　　Grisly和grizzly单词有着不同的含义，但常常容易混淆。

　　1.Grisly means ‘causing horror or disgust’, as in:

　　The gang committed a series of grisly crimes.

　　He was insane when he carried out the grisly murders.

　　2.Whereas grizzlyis chiefly used with reference to a kind of large American bear and can also mean ‘grey or grey-haired’, as in:

　　There is also the word gristly, which is pronounced similarly to grizzly and grisly, but means ‘consisting of or full of gristle’.

　　The beef was extremely gristly.

　　这个牛肉的质地含较多软骨。

　　The meat tasted rank and was gristly, as well as cold at the core.
